How’s 2017 going?   Mine was changed forever a few days back with the most delectable dish of grilled banana bread….

And yours can change forever today with a life changing data analysis experience!!!

YES!  It’s time to get started in pairing Maximo and Watson Analytics!   It’s easy – it’s fast – you will never view your Maximo data in the same way again!

To get started – you first need to export Maximo data to Watson Analytics.   There are three ways to do this:

1. Export data from Maximo Applications

2. Export data from new Maximo-X Work Center Integration  (Starting with Maximo 7.6.0.5)

3. Export data directly from Maximo database!  Follow these simple steps below to enable this direct export functionality with ANY Maximo version

     A.  Review this video detailing the architecture and the steps for setting up the connection, including selecting and installing a secure gateway.

    B.  Determine which secure gateway you will use.  Three choices are available including including (1) IBM Installer (2) Docker (3) IBM Data Power.  Bluemix documentation on secure gateways can be         found here

   C.  Follow the install steps to define and configure both your secure gateway and Maximo database connection

   D.   Finally, watch this video to see how you can create a Watson Analytics data set from your new Maximo connection!

It’s easy!  It’s fabulous!  #GetStartedNow!
